Letting Go

The noise is almost to much, but it drowns out momentairly the ache and sorrow of my heart as I prepare myself to say goodbye. The setting is a busy international airport even at 11pm it is constant with motion. I had been preparing myself for this day for 18 years, and here it is, in an airport with my litte girl moving to China. Her first apartment I will not be able to stop by with grocerys or flowers to brighten up her kitchen, to rush to her aid when she is sick, to pick up the phone and just say hey. But what I do get to see is the beautiful fruit of my labor as I give my final hug and one last glance as I walk away, is my beautiful girl become a women. Strong, independent, faithful, couragous as she forges ahead into a life of unknowns, challenges, lessons, and so so far away. As I let go I was overwhelmed by peace , knowing that a greater strength and love has her in His hands and she really wasn't mine to begin with, only borrowed for a short time.
Much thanks to my heavenly Father for his gracious & precious gift of my daughter, Brooke Pilar.
Farewell for now my girl see you in a few short months. XOXO
